The WordPress block editor is a tool very much like many popular page builders, such as DIVI, Elementor, Beaver Builder, and others in that same category. It allows you to break a page up into blocks that may stack vertically or appear side by side in a row, giving you a good deal of flexibility over how your content is laid out. Each block has a type, like paragraph, image, gallery, or heading, and each of these block types comes with its own set of individual tools that let you adjust styling, spacing, alignment, and other visual details specific to that block. Beyond the individual blocks themselves, the entire page can also be styled more broadly through the Page (or Post) control panel, which appears on the right side of the screen while you are editing. This panel gives you access to overall settings that affect the page or post as a whole, such as layout options, featured images, categories, and other global attributes, complementing the more granular control you have at the block level.
